No Till Garden
A few years ago the NRCS/SCD offices started a no till vegetable garden plot by the parking lot near the office. It has been a fun and educational way to grow fresh produce with minimal weeding and watering.
We started by bordering the lawn with landscape timbers.
Then we added layers of brown and green mulch and compost material
Our garden was a success! We harvested tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, carrots, spinach, onions, beans, peas, and more.
Next we planted both live plants and seeds.
