The mission of the LaMoure County Soil Conservation District is to ensure conservation stewardship and wise us of the natural resources in LaMoure County. This will be accomplished through promoting improving soil health, water quality, and plant health and diversity; and by promoting reducing soil salinity, and wind and water erosion throughout the county.
Services
We offer a variety of services through our local office.
Tree Planting
We will work with you to plan and plant trees. We can suggest which trees should grow best based off your existing soils. Some areas even qualify for cost share programs, which we can inform you on.
Equipment Rental
We have many conservation tools in our powerhouse of equipment for rent. Including 2 Kuhn Manure Spreaders, Montana Post Pounder, Bush Hog rotary tiller, John Deere No-Till drill, and Great Plains Native Grass Drill.
Education
We assist in teaching the public soil & tree knowledge and offer presentations and camps when we can! Including Eco Ed Camp, Ladies' Ag Night & NDSU Tree Workshops.
